Vintage Lunchen Doilies

Barbara used antique white Buttenburg lace doilies, and personalized them with 14 count initials from Old Fashioned Charm font. See how gorgeous they look!

Tips:
1. If you want to embroider on small item that isn't possible to hoop the regular way, like those lovely doilies - just hoop a suitable embroidery backing, spray some temporary adhesive spray over it, and stick the "doily" over. Then embroider.
2. For these lightweight doilies, water soluble backing was used, and washed away after embroidery was finished. Because they're too delicate for traditional stabilizer.
